Pokemon x FamilyMart 2026: How to Get the Mega Rayquaza & Pikachu Frienda Picks

FamilyMart (ファミリーマート) is running a Pokemon (ポケモン) campaign this summer, and the draw is a collectible you can only get by shopping: a Special Frienda Pick. It comes in two waves, each with a different Pokemon and a different set of target items, so what you buy depends on when you go.

Wave 1 is live from August 11, with Mega Rayquaza (メガレックウザ). Wave 2 brings Pikachu and Zeraora (ピカチュウ&ゼラオラ) from August 25.

Buy the target items — two chilled Famimaru desserts in Wave 1, or three bread items in Wave 2 — and you get one Special Frienda Pick, while supplies last.

It's FamilyMart-only, so Lawson or 7-Eleven won't have it. The target category and the pick design both change between the two waves — here's how they break down.

Wave 1 (from August 11): Mega Rayquaza

The first wave runs from August 11 to 24, 2026. Buy two chilled Famimaru (ファミマル) desserts from the refrigerated case and you get one Special Frienda Pick featuring Mega Rayquaza (メガレックウザ).

There's no fixed list of qualifying desserts published, so look for the campaign markers on the fridge shelves or ask staff. Picks are limited, so a wave can sell out before its official end date — go early if there's one you want.

Wave 2 (from August 25): Pikachu and Zeraora

From August 25 to September 7, the deal changes. The target switches to the bread aisle: buy three items from the bread range and you get a Special Frienda Pick featuring Pikachu and Zeraora (ピカチュウ&ゼラオラ).

Note the two things that flip between waves. The category moves from chilled sweets to bread, and the pick design changes with it. If you want the Pikachu and Zeraora pick specifically, you need to be shopping during Wave 2, not before.

Pokemon Frienda Picks, Explained

If the word is new to you, Pokemon Frienda (ポケモンフレンダ) is a Japanese arcade game from Takara Tomy Arts (タカラトミーアーツ) and Marvelous (マーベラス). You battle and catch Pokemon using collectible picks the machine dispenses.

Setting one of these picks into the machine makes that Pokemon appear in the game. You don't need to play the arcade game to enjoy them, though — the picks make a nice little Pokemon souvenir to take home either way.
